Choose JPG for compact, broadly compatible output
JPG is usually the easiest choice for photographed documents, scans, sharing and uploads where a smaller file matters. Quality can be adjusted, and a maximum KB target can be useful for forms and portals.
Choose PNG for text, line art and lossless output
PNG preserves sharp edges and avoids lossy compression artifacts. It is often better for diagrams, UI screenshots and text-heavy pages, but files can be much larger.
Choose WebP for website delivery
WebP provides adjustable compression and works well for page previews or documentation images published on modern websites.
